  • 6:30 for 7:00pm - an evening of informal entertainment, at the Dinner and Noson Lawen
    venue - Whitby Room, James Cook Hotel 147 the Terrace
    Cost $40 - includes buffet meal
    You are invited to perform an item for our enjoyment. Please let Bob Walker know if you can.

Sunday 1st June

The Gymanfa Ganu on Sunday afternoon is the centrepiece of the weekend, when you and the massed voices of the congregation will attempt to raise the roof, singing well-known hymns in Welsh and in English.

  • 2pm - 3:30pm Gymanfa Ganu in the Cathedral of St. Paul, Molesworth Street
    This is a concert of congregational hymn singing in Welsh and English with guest conductor Guy Jansen
    Admission by programme $8

  • Tea and Welsh Cakes afterwards in the Loaves and Fishes Hall

  • 4:30pm - Biennial General Meeting of the Welsh Gymanfa Ganu Association NZ Inc.
    in the Brian Davis Room at the Cathedral

Top off the weekend with an evening of merriment and hwyl

  • All evening at the Welsh Dragon Bar, Middle of the road, Cambridge/Kent Terraces
    There will be free finger food - mini faggots and other delicacies


Accommodation will be in short supply this weekend, so you are advised to make your booking early.
