SHORT STORIES
The short story competition is open to members of the Welsh Society of Wellington, New Zealand.
Entries are to be sent to the Secretary by the end of January each year.
Stories must have some connection with Wales or the Welsh, and the target length is up to 2000 words.
The winner is announced at the Society's St. David's Day function, and the author's name is inscribed on the Raphael Jones Memorial Cup, a silver cup presented in 1950 by C. J. Morton.
The author retains the cup until the following year.
The following stories are a representative sample of those which have been entered in the Welsh Society of Wellington's Short Story competitions in recent years.
